How the Gadgeteer technology works?

Using Gadgeteer, even someone with low or no skills in electronics can create devices that make use of sensors, switches, screens, communication modules, motors controllers...

Operating Gadgeteer is simple: just select modules you need, plug them to the mainboard (no soldering is necessary, sockets between mainboard and modules are standardized) and program the resulting device with Microsoft C#.

One of the strength of Microsoft .NET is that you can create software running on PC, from the Web or on a mobile device. The simplicity of Microsoft .NET makes a Gadgeteer project easy, efficient and quick.

Elements of the Gadgeteer technology

The Gadgeteer technology is based on a mainboard. Several are available in our department Gadgeteer Mainboards. The sockets that are on the Gadgeteer mainboard are numbered and labeled with one or more letters that indicate which type of module can be connected.
