\n The possibility of\n \n Europe\u2019s becoming the world leader in robotics\n <\/strong>\n is not unreasonable; the project certainly has enough fervent support \u2013 and the success of the\n \n CNES\u2019 Philae robot\n <\/a>\n \n confirms this idea. Within the framework of European Robotics Week, the Midi-Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es region is organising two events to be held\n \n from 27\u201330 November at the Cit\u00e9 de l\u2019Espace in Toulouse\n <\/strong>\n .\n <\/p>\n \n \n

\n 4th European Robotics Week: everyone\u2019s robotics of tomorrow\n <\/h2>\n \n \n

\n These events are being organised on a local level, but co-ordinated and promoted by the same body, i.e. euRobotics AISBL, an international non-profit association whose objective is to\u00a0strengthen the existing ties between the\n \n European Robotics Technology Platform (EUROP)\n <\/strong>\n and the\n \n EURON (European Robotics Research Network)\n <\/strong>\n academic network. This organisation aims to speed\u00a0up innovation, research and development, and to encourage a positive attitude to robotics.\n <\/p>\n \n \n

\n Under the umbrella of European Robotics Week, numerous activities for the general public will be taking place across Europe, underlining the growing importance of robotics in a great many fields.\n <\/p>\n \n \n

\n Robotics Together: bringing Europe\u2019s regions together\n <\/h2>\n \n \n

\n A Europe-wide conference entitled\n \n Robotics Together will be held on 27 and 28 November at the Cit\u00e9 de l\u2019Espace\n <\/strong>\n , with the participation of euRobotics AISBL, Th\u00e9same, Innoecho and LAAS-CNRS.\n <\/p>\n \n \n

\n To this end, a roundtable will be held on Friday 28 November with the participation of\n \n Raja Chatila, director of research at ISIR\n <\/strong>\n and co-organiser with G\u00e9n\u00e9ration Robots\u00a0of\n \n the collaborative robotics seminar with Rodney Brooks\n <\/a>\n held in\u00a0Paris on 22 October.\n <\/p>\n \n \n

\n This roundtable will be led by Catherine Simon from\n \n Innorobo, the largest European robotics conference in which\n <\/a>\n G\u00e9n\u00e9ration Robots has participated every year since 2011.\n <\/p>\n \n \n

\n One objective of this conference is to present\n \n the first robotics collaborative map in Europe: EU-Robotics Map\n <\/strong>\n . The event aims to foster dialogue and exchanges between the various skill-areas in robotics among key players in research, development, innovation, regional clusters and companies.\n <\/p>\n \n \n

\n RoCKIn challenge\n <\/h2>\n \n \n

\n \n The \u00ab\u00a0RoCKIn challenge\u00a0\u00bb\n <\/a>\n (Robot Competition Kick Innovation in Cognitive Systems and Robotics), attracting academic teams in the field of robotics, will be held in the wake of\u00a0this meeting. RoCKIn is a\n \n 3-year European project involving robotics competitions\n <\/strong>\n , meetings and educational workshops.\n <\/p>\n \n \n

\n The competition this year is divided into two categories: RoCKIn@Home and RoCKIn@Work.\n <\/p>\n \n \n
