\n Building the\u00a0Metabot v2\u00a0robot\n <\/h2>\n \n \n

\n In the parcel delivered to your mailbox, you\u2019ll find\n \n everything you need to build your Metabot robot\n <\/strong>\n : the\n \n XL-320 Dynamixel motors\n <\/a>\n , the set of nuts and bolts (with a small Allen wrench and a nut driver), the electronic boards, the sensors, and the plastic parts (thermoformed and laser-cut). The latter give the robot a smooth finish compared with the previous version of the Metabot.\n <\/p>\n \n \n

\n Programming the Metabot robot\n <\/h2>\n \n \n

\n We will now move on to the programming part. If you have correctly set up the motors of the robot (see the\n \n assembly guide\n <\/a>\n ), you can start controlling it immediately via the\n \n Metabot app available from the Android store\n <\/a>\n .\u00a0You\u2019ll be able to move the robot around using a joystick, and to adjust various parameters such as the angle or the spacing of the legs.\n <\/p>\n \n \n

\n To program your robot, you\u2019ll need a computer connected to the internet. First, download the\n \n robot manager\n <\/a>\n , available on Metabot\u2019s website to establish the connection between your computer and the robot.\n <\/p>\n \n \n

\n Next, go to the\n \n http:\/\/blocks.metabot.fr\n <\/a>\n web page. You\u2019ll find a programming interface in the form of blocks that you can assemble (just like Scratch or Blockly).\n \n If you\u2019re just starting out in robotics, you can start programming your Metabot robot in no time using this interface\n <\/strong>\n .\n <\/p>\n \n \n

\n Don\u2019t forget to take into account the specifications of the floor surface, as it can affect the distance covered by your robot. This is a common problem for quadruped robots.\n <\/p>\n \n \n
