The <strong> Fraunhofer Italia Innovation Engineering Center <\/strong> is the Italian branch of their laboratory network.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img software interface that will allow mobile robots to find their way around construction sites.<\/p>\n<p><strong> This interface, called ROSBIM, will link\u00a0: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The <strong> BIM <\/strong> technology, which gives the different people working on a building site access to a digital data model of the building throughout its construction (almost in real time); with<\/li>\n<li>The <strong> ROS <\/strong> , an operating system installed in many robots (whether mobile or not) that offers multiple advantages (standardised protocols, easy addition of external devices, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>CLEARPATH ROBOTICS: mobile robotic platforms designed for complex environments<\/h2>\n<p>The <strong> <a href=\"\/en\/115_clearpath-robotics\"> CLEARPATH ROBOTICS <\/a> <\/strong> mobile robotic platforms, distributed in Europe by <strong> G\u00e9n\u00e9ration Robots <\/strong> , are designed for use in various fields, including space exploration, surveillance and patrolling in high-risk areas (irradiated, snowy, dusty, hilly, etc.), and urban and industrial maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>CLEARPATH ROBOTICS developed its range of mobile robots specifically for <strong> researchers working in dangerous or difficult conditions <\/strong> .<\/p>\n<p><strong> CLEARPATH ROBOTICS outdoor mobile robotic platforms are: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ROS and open-source compatible (ROS packages and libraries available online and updated regularly)<\/li>\n<li>Easily customised (addition of external devices)<\/li>\n<li>Resistant to weather and other external elements href=\"\/en\/404089-husky-a200-ugv-mobile-base.html\"> <strong> Husky mobile robot <\/strong> <\/a> by CLEARPATH ROBOTICS:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>External dimensions: 990 x 670 x 390\u00a0mm<\/li>\n<li>Weight: 50 kg<\/li>\n<li>Max. payload: 75 kg<\/li>\n<li>Payload in all-terrain mode: 20 kg<\/li>\n<li>Internal storage dimensions: 296 x 411 x 155\u00a0mm<\/li>\n<li>Max. speed: 1 m\/s<\/li>\n<li>Protection rating: IP44 (IP55 optional)<\/li>\n<li>Total available power: 192W (480W optional)<\/li>\n<li>Drivers and APIs: ROS, C++ and Python<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Robots as logistics assistants<\/h2>\n<p>The aim of this software interface is to ultimately enable use of robots at construction sites for <strong> carrying heavy loads <\/strong> (material and equipment) from A to B.<\/p>\n<p>It will allow the robots to avoid obstacles they might not otherwise have detected, such as elevator shafts and newly dug trenches.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to ROSBIM, a mobile robot will be able to <strong> operate in full autonomy in the complex and constantly changing environment <\/strong> of a construction site, as the interface will improve the robot\u2019s perception of its surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>Employees can also use its <strong> follow-me <\/strong> function to ask the robot to follow them, a bit like a logistics assistant.<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><iframe
