The RR100 platform is ROS compatible, for <strong>easy integration of external devices<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It comes with external USB and Ethernet <strong>waterproof connectors<\/strong>, in addition to USB, Ethernet, 5V, 12V and 24V connections inside the robot.<\/p>\n<h2>A ROS compatible mobile platform<\/h2>\n<h3>Easy start-up<\/h3>\n<p>This mobile robot is designed to be <strong>easy for students to use<\/strong>. And because it\u2019s also intended for research, the RR100 is <strong>fully ROS compatible<\/strong>. This compatibility applies to all the robot\u2019s components.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Shadow Runner RR100 mobile platform comes with its own PC, pre-installed with:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Ubuntu 18<\/li>\n<li>ROS Melodic<\/li>\n<li>ROS drivers<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>These are launched automatically at start-up.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The robot also comes with a USB flash drive on which you\u2019ll find the library of ROS drivers needed<\/strong> to install the 3 above-mentioned features, as well as a <strong>user guide<\/strong> for installing and configuring the drivers.<\/p>\n<h3>Your own technical support<\/h3>\n<p>Our engineers, who have developed <strong>solid ROS expertise<\/strong> over the course of their career, are on hand to help you choose and install your ROS drivers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Robot localisation<\/li>\n<li>Autonomous navigation<\/li>\n<li>Mapping<\/li>\n<li>Instrumentation (addition of more actuators: robotic arm, gripper, screen, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>An all-terrain autonomous robot<\/h2>\n<p>The RR100 is extremely <strong>robust<\/strong>, designed to be outdoors in all weathers (<strong>IP54<\/strong>). It moves with a decent velocity of <strong>2.5 m\/s<\/strong> and weighs 90 kg. It can climb <strong>20\u00b0<\/strong> slopes and overcome obstacles up to <strong>13 cm<\/strong> high.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve equipped it with <strong>agricultural wheels<\/strong> capable of tackling all types of difficult terrain (mud, bumps and holes, slopes, etc.). If requested, we can also <strong>provide smooth wheels<\/strong> for urban environments and indoor use.<\/p>\n<p>The robot is built on an off-road, double-wishbone, long-travel, <strong>4-wheel drive chassis<\/strong> with double Ackerman steering.<\/p>\n<p>Despite its size, the RR100 mobile robot can move easily around in confined spaces due to the double <strong>Ackerman steering<\/strong>, which gives a turning radius of 50 cm.<\/p>\n<p>And its navigational autonomy is further increased by a strong battery life (<strong>5 hours<\/strong>) coupled with particularly quick charging
