The APC Propeller 10x4.7 Pusher is manufactured through a pultrusion process which allows for a high density of carbon fibers (60%). During molding, these 1/2" long fibers are oriented in the propeller span-wise axis , making the APC 10x4.7 Pusher extremely stiff and robust. The high stiffness helps in avoiding vibration resonance with the motors. Thanks to the robustness of its composite, the APC Propeller 10x4.7 Pusher is lighter than standard propellers and has better aerodynamic properties, making it perfectly suited for UAVs such as the ELEV-8 Quadcopter UAV.
Pusher-type propellers, by opposition to Puller-type propellers such as the APC Propeller 10x4.7 Slow Flyer move the air in the opposite direction. For a quadcopter UAV, two pairs of Pusher/Puller propellers are used with opposite rotations. This gives the UAV stability during stationary flight.
