USB-RLY16L 8 relay board controlled by USB
Description of the USB-RLY16L 8 relay board controlled by USB
The USB-RLY16L 8 relay board controlled by USB is particularly adapted to robotics arms and other robot with small displacements. It allows you to command 8 different motors directly from your Windows computer without bothering to embed the program.
The USB-RLY16L 8 relay board controlled by USB is powered directly by USB has a low consumption and has one LED per relay to display its state.
The relay datasheet is available here.
Using the USB-RLY16L 8 relay board controlled by USB
The first step to use the USB-RLY16L 8 relay board controlled by USB is to install the drivers. You have to unzip this archive and point to the folder when Windows is asking for drivers. These drivers will allow the USB-RLY16L 8 relay board controlled by USB to be recognized as a COM port.
You can then see your USB-RLY16L 8 relay board controlled by USB in the 'device manager' panel of your PC. You will need its COM port number to communicate with the board.
Then, you simply need to send commands to your relays to allow or forbid to power your motors. All the commands are in one byte and answer immediately, with the exception of the 'set relays state' that asks for a second byte containing the desired state of the relays.
|Decimal command||Hexadecimal command||Action|
|90||5A||Read software version. Returns two bytes, the first being the module ID (15) and the second the software version.|
|91||5B||Read relays state. Returns a byte where a bit to one means a relay to 1.|
|92||5C||Set relays state. The next sent byte should contain the desired relay states, with bit to 1 for a relay to 1. So 255 means all relays to 1 and 0 means all relays to 0.|
|93||5D||Get 10 times the input voltage. So a value to 50 means a 5.0V voltage.|
|100||64||All relays to 1|
|101||65||Relay 1 to 1|
|102||66||Relay 2 to 1|
|103||67||Relay 3 to 1|
|104||68||Relay 4 to 1|
|105||69||Relay 5 to 1|
|106||6A||Relay 6 to 1|
|107||6B||Relay 7 to 1|
|108||6C||Relay 8 to 1|
|110||6E||All relays to 0|
|111||6F||Relay 1 to 0|
|112||70||Relay 2 to 0|
|113||71||Relay 3 to 0|
|114||72||Relay 4 to 0|
|115||73||Relay 5 to 0|
|116||74||Relay 6 to 0|
|117||75||Relay 7 to 0|
|118||76||Relay 8 to 0|
