The distance Cubelet this is a proximity sensor. It contains an infrared sensor which measures the distance to the obstacles and is accurate between 10 and 80 cm. The infrared sensor included in this Cubelet is directional, ie it measures the distance in the direction that is pointed by the sensor. When the obstacle is located at 10cm from the Cubelet, it provides a signal with a value of 1 (strongest signal) to other connected Cubelets and when the obstacle is located at 80cm, Cubelet provides a value of 0 (signal low).
The Cubelets are cubes that connect magnetically and spontaneously communicate with each Cubelets connected to it. The Cubelets are a great way to start robotics without knowledge in programming or electronic. The Cubelets are particularly suitable for young people aged 6 to 16 years. Reflection is the only tool you need to start understanding the foundations of robotics using the principles of Cubelets.
