The Xadow UV Sensor can measure UV radiation at wavelengths between 290–400 nm. Detection of UV produces a digital output voltage, which you can then easily associate in a linear relationship with a precise UV radiation level using a formula.
Once calculated, the UV radiation level can be displayed on the Xadow OLED screen.

The Xadow UV Sensor, like all the other modules in this series, is characterised by its compact size and slim profile, so it can be easily incorporated into small environment-sensitive garments and portable objects (like a watch or bracelet letting you measure UV radiation to avoid getting sunburnt!)
A module like this is therefore particularly useful to designers specialising in miniaturisation.
It can also be used as a line detector by your autonomous mobile robots: in this case, the UV radiation acts like a white line.
