If you’re the proud owner of the Raspberry Pi B+, then you’ll already be familiar with its additional tasty features: 40 GPIO pins (instead of 26 on the B model), 4 USB 2.0 ports instead of 2, a new microSD card, improved manufacturing, all with a low power consumption!
To make the most of all the possibilities offered by this little wonder, the Adafruit teams have developed a new version of the Cobbler Plus for Raspberry Pi: the T-Cobbler Plus!
The Pi T-Cobbler Plus GPIO Breakout for Raspberry Pi B+ is a T-shaped GPIO extension, as its name suggests, allowing you to use a solderless breadboard with your Raspberry Pi B+.
This plug and play extension gives you immediate access to all your GPIO and I2C pins because it’s equipped with a 40-pin header.
Simply connect your Assembled Pi T-Cobbler Plus to your solderless breadboard, then connect it to your Raspberry Pi B+ using its Raspberry Pi GPIO I/O cable (40 pins).
You can use the Pi T-Cobbler Plus GPIO Breakout on the Adafruit breadboard designed especially for the new Raspberry Pi B+, to build prototypes easily without getting out your soldering iron! Obviously, the Pi T-Cobbler Plus is also compatible with all other solderless breadboards, and can even be used on a Perma-Proto type breadboard.
Be aware that the solderless breadboard, wires, cables and other electronic and electrical components (including power supply) are not included in this kit, so you’ll need to make a choice depending on the project you have in mind!
This connection kit includes the Assembled Pi T-Cobbler Plus for Raspberry Pi B+ and a 40-pin ribbon cable.
