The Thymio II mobile robot is a robotics platform used for teaching a visual programming language (VPL).
It has numerous pre-programmed behaviours allowing children to discover what it’s capable of and have fun, while also offering a fully open-source programming environment based on the Aseba VPL allowing budding robotics engineers to create their first programs.
The Thymio II robot is equipped with numerous sensors, allowing it to detect and interact with its environment. It also has an infrared receiver for controlling Thymio from a distance.
So you can use any universal remote and set it up for the RC5 code developed by Philips to then communicate with a variety of the brand’s devices.
The RC5 remote for Thymio is a universal IR remote that you can configure to enable infrared communication with Thymio II. Plus it bears the Thymio colours!
