The Grove UV Sensor was designed around the GUVA-S12D sensor. It includes a Schottky-type photodiode equipped with a very low forward voltage drop and an ultra-fast switching time. In practice, you'll be able to very reliably and accurately pick up UV radiation between 200 and 400 nm. The Grove sensor’s electrical output signal varies according to radiation intensity.
The Grove system allows you to rapidly and easily connect a set of Grove actuators and sensors to an Arduino microcontroller. Each Grove sensor and actuator has its own connectors that you connect with a cable to the Grove Base Shield, itself connected to an Arduino. Programming is done in the Arduino environment. No soldering, no breadboard and no dangerous connections!
Below you’ll find everything you need to get started with the Grove system and use your UV module.
