This is the latest addition to the fun Cubelets system! The newest member of the smart cubelet family, the Threshold Cubelet is equipped with a large round button used to set the threshold beyond which your Cubelets robot will start reacting again.
Simply position it between two other cubelets, and its magnetising system will do the rest!
With this Threshold Cubelet, your robot will remain motionless as long as the input value does not exceed the threshold you’ve set. But blow a bit harder, or approach two hands instead of one, and wham! Your robot suddenly springs into life and resumes the actions programmed in its other cubelets. A great way to show your children how to create binary behaviour in a machine.
Watch these two short videos to find out more about how the Threshold Cubelet and the other cubelets work:

Cubelets are scalable: children as young as 8 year-old can play with them! More advanced (and older) users will be able to reprogram each Cubelet with the C language thanks to the Cubelet Flash software (Windows and Mac).
You will just need to follow the manufacturer firmware update instructions on this link. Only for the Cubelets purchased before april 2016.
No, but Cubelets are compatible with Blockly, Google's equivalent to Scratch. However, nothing is impossible in the world of computer science, and if feel like it, you can create a Scratch extension for Cubelets with ScratchX!
