Grove 10 DOF Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) v2.0 (MPU9250)
Seeed Studio is now offering a new version of its 10 DOF inertial measurement unit for carrying out motion-based projects with Arduino.
MPU9250 IMU: 10 degrees of freedom + DMP
The Grove MPU9250 IMU is equipped with two modules that have revolutionised its IMU for Arduino:
The MPU9250 module, which includes a 3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer (9 axes in total), and a digital motion processor (DMP). It guarantees the most accurate measurement of each movement’s rotation, direction and speed;
The BMP280 IMU, effectively equipping the IMU with a high-precision digital barometer.
Both modules have been updated to reduce their size and the inertial measurement unit’s energy consumption. The module will now integrate more easily into small portable projects, such as smartphones and home-made PSP controllers.
