Programmable Robots / Meet Thymio II

Introducing the Thymio II robot for robotics initiation and education

Thymio II is the best fit to start learning with programmable robots. It was designed and developed in collaboration with the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (one of the most famous robotics oriented university in Europe). The result of this development is a comprehensive mobile robot with several sensors (distance, acceleration) and that can be easily programmed. Thymio II is a great robot for discovering robotics at school.

Robotics tutorial / I2C communications capture

Eavesdroppping I2C communications between a robot and a sensor

Discover what is happening when your robot communicates with one of its sensors. I2S is a digital communication bus dating back to 1982 but it is still widely used to allow the communication between circuits. The tool that is used to intercept these communication is a Saleae Logic 16 logic analyzer. It is placed between a Lego Mindstorms robot and an ultrasounds sensor.
