You're a fan of the Bee-Bot? The educational bee robot developed by TTS? Here comes its big brother Blue-Bot, a programmable robot that can be controlled with a tablet or a computer via BlueTooth!
TTS educational robot Blue-Bot, is a small mobile robot that can be programmed with a tablet or a computer. Data is transmitted via bluetooth, to a programming strip or to the BlueBot application, compatible with iOS, Android. With this free app, children can plan the robot moves ahead, or can program the robot for real. Activities and coding challenges are also included in this app!
Children in elementary schools or even preschools will be able to control the Blue-Bot robot with the classroom tablet. They will see the robot trajectory in real life but also on the device screen!
Unlike Bee-Bot, Blue-Bot can do 45° turns, and can integrate repetitions in its algorithm. Its case is transparent, allowing kids to see the different electronic components that the robot needs to function. Like the educational robot Bee-Bot, a Blue-Bot move in 15cm "steps" and do 90° rotations.
Bee-Bot is a robot designed to be used in preschools and elementary schools. After having downloaded a simple program, the robot will move and be controlled thanks to the keypad located on its back.
It's quite convenient if you do not have access to a computer or a tablet. You will be able to teach the pupils very simple algorithm with this robot.
Like Bee-Bot, Blue-Bot can be charged thanks to its USB cable (included).

Much like the Cubetto robot, the Blue-Bot can be programmed with small tiles that are orderly placed on a programming strip. Each tile is a specific instruction (turn right, move backwards, repeat, etc).

Least but not last, Blue-Bot can be programmed with the Blue-Bot app, iOS and Androidcompatible.
The Blue-Bot and Bee-Bot app is well designed and user-friendly. You will be able to choose between different learning or adventure mats. The app use the instruction-tiles concept, so it will be really easy to get started. Your students will be able to browse through different activities.
The biggest difference is the addition of a Bluetooth module on the Blue-Bot robots. Thanks to the Bluetooth module, young users can program and control their robot with a tablet, a smartphone or the Blue-Bot programming bar !
No, the Bee-Bot robot does not have any Bluetooth chip, so the only way to control it is with the buttons on its back.
The two steps below explain how to test your robot for power problems. 1) Reinitialize the robot: Open the battery compartment by loosening the screw. The screw is triangular and is located on the square plate at the bottom of the robot. Remove the battery and reinsert it to reinitialize your Bee-Bot / Blue-Bot. If that does not help, continue with point 2. 2) Test with a different battery: Insert a working battery to see if the problem is related to the battery or the robot
