Raspberry Pi to Arduino Shields Bridge
Overview of the Raspberry Pi to Arduino Shields Bridge
The Raspberry Pi to Arduino Shields Bridge allows you to extend the capabilities of your Raspberry Pi by connecting any of the several Arduino shields that already exist. It also allows you to connect digital and analog sensors using the standard Arduino pinout but with the capabilities and power of the Raspberry Pi.
On top of this, the Raspberry Pi to Arduino Shields Bridge is provided with the ArduPi programming library that allows you to directly use code that was created for the Arduino onto the Raspberry Pi.
Features of the Raspberry Pi to Arduino Shields Bridge
- Connect any of the wireless modules for Arduino: XBee 802.15.4/XBee ZigBee, RFID, NFC, Bluetooth, Bluetooth Pro, Wifi, GPRS, 3G
- Connect analog (0-5V) or digital sensors and use them with a 16 bits precision ADC (only 10 bits for the Arduino)
- Connect complex sensors, actuators or electronic modules using the I2C, SPI and UART interfaces
- Can be extended with any Arduino shield: for instance relay driver, GSM, radiation sensor, LCD color display, ...
