Improved mobility and autonomy on demanding terrain
Developed by Robotnik, the RB-WATCHER XL is a version of the range’s inspection and security robot adapted to harsh terrain. Its larger chassis and all-terrain wheels improve stability on uneven surfaces and allow it to overcome obstacles up to 14 cm.
To reduce interruptions, the robot includes remote power control and a quick-swap battery system (Easy Swap) intended to minimize downtime and maintain extended operation. It also integrates speakers, a microphone, and LED lighting to support field operations and communication tasks.
The ROS 2-based architecture is designed to simplify the integration of new modules, sensors, or cameras as needed. Optionally, the robot can be equipped with 360° vision and AI packages (people detection and tracking, 3D reconstruction, trajectory estimation), as well as a 3D navigation package for more complex terrain.
Designed to facilitate maintenance, upgrades, and component integration, the RB-WATCHER XL provides a modular platform for outdoor inspection and surveillance scenarios.
