The Channel Slider Kit allows you to convert the rotary motion of a Hitec HS-785HB servo into a linear motion of up to 48.8 cm in length. The timing belt and two pinion pulleys included in the kit ensure smooth movement.
Simply send a PWM signal from a motor controller to launch your carriage on the slider. By modulating this signal between 820 and 2180 µs, you can refine the carriage speed so that it doesn’t hit the ends of the slider too hard. With a radio-controlled transmitter, the full travel length is approximately 32.3 cm. An output voltage of 6V will deliver a travel speed of 11.9 mm per second.
Numerous development possibilities
The kit offers two assembly options: on the top or on the side. Because these are Actobotics parts, they are compatible with all the other components of the same brand, offering you different project upgrade possibilities – you can for example create a robotised telescopic arm, a linear slider for a video camera, install sensors or develop an automated system.
You will need a Phillips screwdriver, a 1/64”” hex key and a 3/32” hex key to assemble your kit.
