A compact, robust mobile base for automating indoor load transport
The RB-KAIROS is intended to automate the transport of goods in an indoor environment. Its compact design supports use in confined spaces, while maintaining a high payload capacity (up to 250 kg).
The platform is built on a steel structure, designed for regular use in logistics contexts. Omnidirectional kinematics allow the robot to move in any direction, simplifying manoeuvres and traffic in busy areas while supporting obstacle avoidance.
The base has also been designed to facilitate integration of a Universal Robots e-Series robotic arm. In this configuration, the system becomes a mobile manipulator (RB-KAIROS+) for scenarios combining mobility and manipulation.
Like Robotnik robots, the RB-KAIROS uses a modular architecture based on ROS 2, suited to integration and development projects in mobile robotics.
