Ellipse 2-A Inertial Sensor: IMU + AHRS

The Ellipse 2-A Inertial Sensor is part of the SBG Systems Ellipse 2 series. The tiny module is less than 5 cm long and includes:

  • High-performance, very low-noise 3-axis MEMS gyroscopes
  • 3-axis accelerometers equipped with internal FIR anti-vibration filters
  • 3-axis magnetometers and temperature sensors
  • An integrated AHRS for calculating pitch, roll, heading and heave
  • All connected to a processor for data calibration, coning and sculling

The serial CAN interface allows easy inclusion in automation applications using RS-232, RS-422 and CAN 2.0 protocols.

A variety of uses thanks to the Ellipse 2 Development Kit

Your sensor comes with an SBG Systems Development Kit, which will provide inventors, developers of automated solutions and researchers with a complete set of solutions for autonomous robot navigation on land, air and water:

  • Material: quick start and user guides, calibration report, USB cable, USB stick with software and tools
  • Software: free access to the sbgCenter software to set up and program your inertial sensor and analyse the collected data
  • Technical: technical support, unlimited updates, dedicated support platform, customised training on demand, etc.
