Even simpler to use than the DeadOn RTC module thanks to its I2C communication protocol, the DS1307 real time clock by SparkFun comes fully assembled and pre-programmed in the form of a small module you simply connect to your Arduino.
It’s equipped with a CR1225 lithium battery so you no longer have to worry about power, and the module has also undergone a little upgrade – not only have I2C resistors been added, but the battery pad has been enlarged to avoid conflicts with the development board.
In sum, once out of its box, you’ll be able to get to concrete grips with your BOB-12708 module in next to no time!
