A low-profile, compact platform for moving trolleys and heavy loads in industrial environments
The RB-ROBOUT is designed to automate the transport of heavy loads indoors, especially in logistics and production contexts. Its low, steel “mouse” design and compact dimensions make it suitable for moving trolleys and for transporting loads directly on the platform.
Mobility relies on omnidirectional kinematics using 4 high-power drive wheels. The robot can share the workspace with operators thanks to safety lasers, providing obstacle detection, alternative route selection and trajectory optimisation.
Depending on accuracy requirements, the RB-ROBOUT can operate with different localisation modes: SLAM (map-based navigation) or magnetic guidance (intended for very high precision requirements). Different modes can be used within the same installation.
The platform supports a wide range of accessories and options to match internal workflows, including: roller conveyor, conveyor belt, load elevators, supports for pallets or boxes, and SIEMENS SIMOVE Carrier Control integration. The modular architecture based on ROS 2 supports software integration and adaptation to application constraints. An interface is provided to simplify system management.
A RB-ROBOUT+ version is also available: it uses the RB-ROBOUT base and enables dedicated modules and configurations to adapt the robot to scenarios combining autonomous transport and integration of specific equipment (depending on configuration).
