A modular, compact mobile manipulator for narrow corridors and constrained spaces

The RB-THERON+ is a compact mobile manipulator designed to operate efficiently in areas with narrow corridors and limited space. It is particularly relevant when navigation and manipulation must be performed within a constrained footprint, while maintaining a significant payload on the mobile base.

The system is intended for Pick & Place operations in indoor environments, including small areas. It is compatible with the integration of Universal Robots arms and helps extend the set of tasks that can be carried out autonomously by combining mobility, perception and manipulation.

The RB-THERON+ is available with different mobile base options: a differential drive configuration for applications with limited maneuverability requirements and more distance-intensive travel, and an omnidirectional configuration for higher maneuverability requirements and less distance-intensive travel (depending on the selected configuration).

Autonomy can be extended through a modular battery by adding modules on the upper cabinet. A HMI interface is also provided to simplify commissioning and programming.

On the software side, RB-THERON+ Software is based on a modular architecture with a set of more than 400 ROS packages that can be customized to build software stacks for different scenarios (mentioned languages: C++, C, Python, HTML, PHP).

The robot is designed with compliance to ISO 3691-4 and ISO 13482 safety standards in mind, and can include safety options such as an integrated anti-collision system or an emergency stop.
