Powerbox Module for Leo Rover

The Powerbox module is one of the most recommended upgrades for the Leo Rover. It replaces the right quarter of the rover to provide extended power options, ideal for connecting additional sensors, cameras, onboard computers, or robotic arms. With multiple power outputs and a smart design, it ensures continuous operation and maximum flexibility for research and robotic development projects.

Main features

  • 4x 12V DC sockets (powered directly from the battery)
  • 4x 5V DC sockets (via a 12V–5V 9A DC converter)
  • External 12V DC battery socket accessible from outside

Advantages of the Powerbox module

  • Easy connection of additional peripherals: LiDARs, onboard computers (Jetson Nano, Jetson Xavier NX, etc.), robotic arms (PhantomX Pincher, WidowX, etc.)
  • Charge the Leo Rover battery while in operation
  • Option to power the rover via a tethered power cable
  • Supports hot-swapping the battery – the rover remains powered through the standard charger during replacement
  • Proven reliability: used daily by the Leo Rover team for most missions
