Rethink Robotics designed a fully integrated robotics solution. Featuring 2 cameras and torque sensors in its 7 axes, it is a powerful tool to learn robotics programming and quickly create real life applications. One of its main feature is its native compliance, which makes SAWYER a safe robotics platform to be used with students in a lab, a workshop or a classroom.

SAWYER can be controlled in articular or cartesian but its trajectories could also be torque constrained to use the advantages of the compliance and torque sensors. The SAWYER SDK comes with a ROS/Python/C++ programming platform that will let you experiment with all the robot features. You can find online high-quality resources and tutorials to help you get started.
