Arduino MKR1000: compact, efficient, sober

If you’ve already had a chance to try the Arduino Zero mini-controller, you’ll feel perfectly at home with this MKR1000 module. The board is based on the ATSAMW25 system-on-chip and is composed of 3 blocks:

  • A low-power 32-bit SAMD21 processor (the same as the one on the Arduino Zero)
  • A low-power WINC1500 2.4 GHz IEEE® 802.11 b/g/n WiFi module
  • The Microchip ECC508 CryptoAuthentication solution, integrated into the board

Please note: unlike many other Arduino devices, this board can be powered only by 3.3V, so beware of circuit overvoltage.
