Arduino the open-source electronics platform
Arduino was at the start a project for students from the Interaction Design Ivrea in Italy. Based around a single-board microcontroller, it is commonly used as an affordable and simple way for students, professionals and now hobbyists to make devices interacting with their environment using sensors and servomotors.
It revolves around an IDE (integrated development environment) where users can write programs for Arduino using C or C++. Arduino boards can be purchased on their own, in kits and now part of robotic kits!

Back to basics with this Arduino Starter kit. This kit contains an Arduino Uno board, the most common and useful electronic components and a book of 15 Arduino projects. Are you a beninner with Arduino? Then, this is the kit you need!
Want to create a robot spider but worried your good old Arduino won’t cope with so many servo motors? The Smart Servo Shield for Arduino will open the door to a whole new world of hexapods and other robotic insects!
Let we present you one of the craziest robotics kits we encountered: the MaKey MaKey Kit! This brilliant system will enable you to transform anything (and we really mean anything) into a keyboard key that will be that will be identified as such by a computer.
This in fact consists of a precise, sensitive and efficient GPS module integrated into an Arduino-compatible shield offering with numerous functionalities. Just what you’ve been waiting for? You can thank Adafruit!
Having difficulties finding the ideal WiFi module for your IoT (Internet of Things) project on Arduino? Adafruit too! Which is why the New York e-solution manufacturer has developed its own WiFi module, the CC3000, which is not only affordable and efficient but also simple to use. In addition, to avoid all unnecessary wiring, the module is integrated into an Arduino-compatible shield!
