Big Easy Driver by SparkFun: your 16 step microstepping motor driver
This Big Easy Driver stepper motor driver is based on the Allegro A4988 chip, a bipolar stepper motor driver capable of handling up to 2A/phase. Its settings default to 16 step microstepping mode.
Your bipolar stepper motor driver includes 3.3/5V regulation, you therefore need just one supply.
Points to note when using the Big Easy Driver
The Big Easy Driver can easily manage 1.4 to 1.7A/phase. However, if the load begins to approach 2A, you’ll need to get your hands on a heat sink to eliminate all risk of overheating.
