LMS111-10100 2D LiDAR sensor: long range, expandable and adaptable

Weighing just over one kilo and measuring ten or so centimetres along each side, the LMS111-10100 laser range finder developed by SICK can be integrated easily into all kinds of monitoring systems, or outdoor robotics chassis. It includes in particular:

  • An Ethernet interface for easier installation and maintenance
  • A fog filter
  • A CAN I/O module for multiplying switching outputs
  • Multi-echo technology for mounting the sensor behind a glass panel
  • A scanning frequency of 50 Hz max. for a maximum range of 20 metres

Many uses in all weathers

This laser range finder can be used in a wide range of safety applications, e.g. to prevent collisions in industrial environments, to monitor road traffic, or to protect perimeters or facades. It is VdS certified and can be used both indoors and outdoors thanks to its IP67 protection rating. It remains fully operational from -30 to 50 °C, in rain and in foggy weather.
