UWB Starter Kit – Ultra-Wideband Precision Geolocation
Including €0.63 for ecotax
The UWB Starter Kit offers a complete pack of ultra-wideband (UWB) precision geolocation equipment. Very easy to use, accurate and responsive, it is an ROS geolocation module intended primarily for research and higher education.
Using the ultra-wideband precision geolocation kit
This UWB kit developed by IIDRE has been built around 4 wall-mounted or tripod anchors and a USB transceiver. The 4 anchors and the USB tag exchange geolocation data based on time of flight. The associated software allows you to both configure and view the data transmitted.
UWB Starter Kit anchor
The UWB Starter Kit lets you track autonomous mobile servo-controlled machines (outdoor mobile robot or indoor mobile robot) to an accuracy of 10 cm. You can also use these anchors to rapidly locate the positions of various objects nearby. In an industrial setting, the IIDRE geolocation module makes it easier to locate production equipment, for example to increase process efficiency, even in a dense environment. Simply mount the tag on one of your devices and you’ll be able to determine its position to an accuracy of less than one metre under these conditions.
IIDRE geolocation module: economical, efficient and adaptable
Offering a range of 150 metres and an average accuracy of between 10 and 30 cm depending on the type of environment, this ROS geolocation module performs particularly well considering its cost. Its high update rate also allows you to track the movement of fast objects at speeds of up to 30 km/h.
You can customise the tag and anchors in different ways. Add some sensors to your UWB Starter Kit and a GPS chip to your project and you’ll be able to monitor positions both indoors and outdoors.
