LDS-01 360 Laser Distance Sensor: a range of up to 3.5 metres

This 2D laser distance sensor can measure objects located between 120 and 3,500 mm away. It is mounted on a rotating head, allowing it to map its environment at 360°. Its high precision and USB interface – allowing easy installation on a computer – make it an ideal accessory for robotics projects. It has a complete ROS allowing you to fully benefit from all of its features.

A SLAM distance sensor for your robotics projects

SLAM, which stands for simultaneous localization and mapping, is a technology used frequently in embedded mobile robotics. So a SLAM distance sensor like the LDS-01 can be mounted on a robotics platform capable of avoiding obstacles or exploring its environment, a robotised monitoring system, a robot vacuum cleaner or lawnmower, and much more.
