LIDAR-Lite v3 laser telemeter: performance and lightness

The LIDAR-Lite v3 is a high-performance optical distance measurement sensor, efficient on short and long distances (up to 40 metres!). It offers a resolution of 1 cm and an accuracy of +/- 2.5 cm. Small in form and light in weight, the LIDAR telemeter from Garmin integrates easily into all your creations. It is the ideal solution for mobile robot and drone applications: you can embark all the sensors you wish without weighting your device.

The LIDAR sensor promises highly reliable data for turning your mobile project into a truly autonomous robot. Plus, its low power consumption makes it a must-have for embedded electronic systems who want to expand their freedom of action!

A highly configurable sensor

The LIDAR-Lite telemeter from Garmin comes with a 100% open-source code library. You can adjust between accuracy, operating range and measurement time. All the information you need about that are available in the user guide (in the Resources section below).
